Tina and Ed Burke who sail Merlin in the Chesapeake Bay are Corinthians who are veterans of both cruising in Maine and hiking at every opportunity. They have developed wide hiking experience across the Penobscot region and Acadia. Notwithstanding the comments about death marches overheard from the FUGAMA, they offer sound advice.
They recommend the hikers should take advantage of the excellent cellphone apps that are available today. They use AllTrails on their hikes. [Be aware of the increased power draw from their constant gps usage.]
