Introduction
·      Today is the second day of the cruise and the Fleet will begin its sojourn around the Penobscot.
·      The main events of the day are
o   Fleet parade out of the harbor.
o   Race course along route to Bucks Harbor.
o   A “downeast” sail down the famous and picturesque Eggemoggin Reach.
o   Evening festivities among the Fleet on moorings and at anchor in Bucks Harbor.

·      Anchorage:  There is an anchorage just to the E of the E entrance channel that will hold 4 to 10 boats.  The center area had depths >20’ with a shallower area along the periphery.  Many of the Windjammers use this anchorage during the peak of the summer season.  SV Onward has anchored as the lone vessel only to come back from a visit ashore with 3 Windjammers as neighbors.  Fun to listen to their music and watch their “rituals”.

Mooring Assignments
  • When Annual Cruise Planning Began, the marina was contacted and agreed to hold all moorings for the Corinthians Fleet.
  • Skippers were advised to contact the marina and make a request as a Fleet Member
  • The marina then matched request for moorings with those available and assigned them on the basis of the order in which the request was made and then the availability of a mooring that could hold a vessel with that LOA and draft
  • The current status of the mooring assignments are given in the Table below
  • As of 26 June, the status is being reviewed / confirmed with the marina
